Around 08:00, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby, then drive 90 km (2hrs) to Ben Tre. The boat will cruise along the Ham Luong River (a branch of the Mekong) and stop at various places to visit such as a brickworks, a salt refinery, a coconut processing workshop, and a mat weaving house. The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, boarding your Xe Loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) and stop at a riverside restaurant for a delicious lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp.

After lunch, it’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow canals. You will get back to the river to board your boat. Then, we keep on driving to another province of the Mekong Delta – Tra Vinh. Staying a quiet night there.

Overnight in Tra Vinh

After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the Khmer cultural heartland of Tra Vinh, where we have a chance to visit some of the 141 Khmer temples practicing the Theravada branch of Buddhism – a wonderful opportunity to experience these serene, peaceful places and take photos of some wonderful portraits of the young monks in their saffron-colored robes.

Continue the trip to Can Tho. Check-in the hotel and have free time to relax.

Overnight in Can Tho.

In the early morning, we make the boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats), truly highlight of any Vietnam Tours where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals and later, you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, rice noodles making shop which are nice chances to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta.

Around noon, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh.
