MEKONG FAMILY TOUR 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS

Around 08:00, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby, then drive 90 km (2hrs) to Ben Tre. The boat will cruise along the Ham Luong River (a branch of the Mekong) and stop at various places to visit such as a brickworks, a salt refinery, a coconut processing workshop, and a mat weaving house. The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, boarding your Xe Loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) and stop at a riverside restaurant for a delicious lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp.

After lunch, you’ll have some break time before cycling around the village, or fishing and cooking with the locals.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight at homestay.

You can get up early to enjoy the peaceful countryside in the morning, and then have breakfast.

Bike to the local market, and shop for fresh vegetables and ingredients to later be prepared for your lunch. Visit Hung Nghiem pagoda; it’s also a chance to learn how to make natural soy sauce from an in-house nun. Visit a small family’s business workplace producing raw materials for coconut fiber.

Later, it’s time for cooking and enjoying lunch at the homestay.

After lunch, visit a local fruit plantation, enjoy some seasonal fresh fruit, and spend more enjoyable time on the rowboat through the natural canals. Treat yourself to a relaxing time to get a sense of the beautiful countryside. Embark on the sampan and return to the dock where we continue the trip to Can Tho – the heart of the Mekong Delta.

Check-in at the hotel and overnight in Can Tho.

In the morning, we make the boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats), truly highlights of any Vietnam Tours where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals and later, you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, rice noodles making shop which are nice chances to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta.

Around noon, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City (Drop off at your hotel).
