– Transfer to Dong Van plateau located at an altitude of 1,025 m and inhabited by several ethnic groups such as the Tay, LoLo, Nung, Dzao, and especially the Hmong…

– Stop and visit the Heaven Gate of Quan Ba

– Stop and visit Yen Minh, a beautiful valley nestled in the mountains

Afternoon:

– Walk in the village of Pho Bang, which has old earthen houses, some built in a colonial style (Twice a month after dark, all the houses around the market light lanterns)

– At the entrance of Dong Van, you will visit the Palace of the Hmong King, Vuong Chi Sinh – a sumptuous palace reproducing the Chinese architecture of the Qing dynasty

– If Sunday, you will visit Dong Van authentic Hill Tribe Market

– Transfer to Meo Vac, a rustic town. You will follow the Chinese border sculpted by an astonishing infertile karst landscape that is also found in the neighboring Guanxi region

Afternoon:

– Continue the road to Bao Lac crossing the Ma Pi Leng Pass (If good weather, from here, the view can stretch to the horizon)

– Short stop to admire the Nho Que River. The opposite view from a height of 1,000 m will give it the appearance of a silk ribbon.

– A hike is planned to cross villages of ethnic minorities with a simple and authentic life.

Morning:

– Have breakfast at hotel

– Departure from Bao Lac for a short hike to the village of Khuoi Khon, where the black LoLo people live

– You will meet on the way of hiking and in the fields many beautiful black LoLo women in traditional costumes

– Lunch at a local restaurant

Afternoon:

– Transfer to Cao Bang via a beautiful mountain road

– Arrive at the hotel in Cao Bang around late afternoon and check-in

– Drive to Ban Gioc Waterfall, a very scenic spot on the border with China. Ban Gioc is also ranked as one of the world’s largest waterfalls on the borderline

– Stop at the village of Phuc Sen at the edge of the road to discover the traditional technique of the Nung blacksmiths

– Visit the Nguom Ngao cave

Afternoon:

– Lunch at a local restaurant

– Return to Cao Bang

Morning:

– Transfer to Ba Be Lake, located 145 m above sea level in the middle of a very pretty national park, famous for its many limestone peaks

– Cross this lake by boat to Dau Dang waterfall

– Take a bicycle tour from Pac Ngoi Village to Peng Village where you will climb to Hua Ma Cave, which was just discovered a few years ago
