Along Vietnam by Train 15 days – Small Group Tour

Morning: 

– Arrive at Hanoi airport.

– Pick up at the meeting point by our tour guide and listen to short briefing

– Transfer directly to the hotel in Hanoi.

– Spend leisure time while waiting for lunch

Afternoon/ Night:

– Have options to watch cultural shows such as Water Puppet Show and Vietnamese Cooking Class or Foodie Tours, which are presented through links below:

+ Water Puppet Show : Try delicious Hanoi Street food such as: Banh Mi, Bun Cha, Banh Cuon, Egg Coffee…. Also discover unique places that are not in your guidebook

+ Vietnamese Cooking Class Half Day : Experience bargaining skills when going to the market to buy tasty condiments. Then, try your own cooking accompanied with our tour guide to finish the non-vegetarian and vegetarian Vietnamese dishes.

Morning/ Afternoon:

– Have breakfast at the hotel.

– About 8:00 – 8:30am: Visit famous attractions of Hanoi to learn more about the capital’s history and culture.

– Visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university and the destination of luck for today’s students before their essential exam.

– Visit the mausoleum complex. The complex consists of the iconic One Pillar Pagoda and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where Uncle Ho is sleeping the sleep of death.

– Enjoy the tranquility of the West Lake and the 1500-year-old Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda.

Night:

– Have dinner at a Vietnamese Restaurant.

– Free to relax and wait until 20:00, when the tour guide takes you to the Hanoi train station.

– Join in an overnight train journey to Lao Cai (sharing, soft sleeper with air-conditioner, four berths per cabin).

Morning/ Afternoon: 

– Arrive at Lao Cai train station at around 6.00am.

– Head to Sapa on a shared bus, which lasts for 1 hour.

– Check in at your booked hotel and relax for a while to get ready for the Sapa full-day trekking tour.

– Trek about 6km across Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho Village, where the Black Hmong live.

– Continue trekking 2km to Lao Chai and Ta Van Village, then stop at a local family for lunch.

– Trek another 2km to the bus stop in Ta Van to get back to your hotel.

Night:

­– Spend time relaxing in Sapa.

Morning/ Afternoon:

– On your second day in Sapa, you will walk 4 km to visit Cat Cat village at 8:00am and relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station.

– A picnic lunch is available by the side of the river. Then you will walk 3km to Sin Chai Village, the village located at the foot of Fansipan, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina.”

– From here, you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on the way back to Sapa.

Night:

– Transfer back to Hanoi by shuttle bus.

– Free at leisure.

Morning:

– Have breakfast and check out the hotel in Hanoi.

– Head to Halong Bay for a 2-day-1-night cruise trip.

– Join a welcome party by the crew while the cruise set sail to the bay area, with a seafood feast following the sightseeing tour.

Afternoon:

– Participate in visiting caves, kayaking, or swimming based on the cruise itinerary.

Night:

– Get back to the cruise for relaxing and dining.

– Enjoy your night on board.

Morning:

– Practice Tai Chi on the sundeck to start your day fresh and full of energy.

– Enjoy your breakfast while the cruise takes you to stunning caves for the last sightseeing tour.

– Go back to the main dock to transfer to Hanoi.

– Lunch is available on the way back.

– Have free time to visit the Old Quarter on arrival in Hanoi.

– Head to Hanoi train station at 21:15 for the Hue night train (Unification Express, shared 4-berth air-conditioned compartment)

– About 8:00 – 8:30am: Start visiting Thien Mu Pagoda to immerse yourself in the tranquility and have a fantastic view over the Perfume River, where you can learn more about the ancient architecture of Vietnam.

– Visit one of the most historical sites in Vietnam: The Imperial Citadel is one of them.

– Explore Vietnam’s pre-modern history and how lavish the royal life was in the past.

– Visit to Dong Ba Market to understand the local daily life, where you can shop for souvenirs here.

Night:

– Get back to your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Morning/ Afternoon:

– Have breakfast at the hotel.

– 8:00am or 13:30pm: Head to Hue by shuttle bus or Private car with a stop at some sightseeing on the way for a short break (admission fee not included).

Night:

– Check-in at the hotel in Hoi An and relax.

Morning:

– Have breakfast at the hotel.

– 8:00am: Join the Hoi An walking tour.

– Explore Hoi An spirit across old streets, local houses, historic sites, and ancient monuments.

– Get to the Japanese Covered Bridge at the Fujian Assembly Hall for a short excursion.

– Refresh yourself with a cold glass of traditional herbal drink from a street-side shop.

Afternoon:

– Drop in some handicraft stores to see the creation of souvenirs in town and take some of them back to your hometown if time permits.

– Transfer to the train station in Danang for a night train to Ho Chi Minh City, also called Saigon (shared 4-berth air-conditioned compartment).

– The train will arrive in Saigon early in the morning (about 5:30).

– Get picked up to have breakfast.

– Check in the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and have free time relaxing until the afternoon.

Afternoon:

– 13:30pm: Join in the Ho Chi Minh half-day city tour to visit several famous city attractions.

– Visit to the Reunification Palace, the symbol of Saigon liberation, and the War Remnants Museum to see turbulent Vietnam.

– Visit Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office to explore the classical French colonial architecture.

– Join in a trip to the local market will end your tour with a local-like experience.

– Walk around, observe, talk to the local sellers to know their daily lives, and shop for souvenirs.

Night:

– Return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

– Have free time for the rest of the day.

Morning:

– Have breakfast at the hotel.

– 8:00am: Head to Cu Chi Tunnels, which the attraction is a system of underground tunnels and constructions used by the Vietnam Army during the Vietnam War.

– Have a chance to crawl along some of the tunnels for exploration more about the Vietnam War or touch a real gun with the firing-gun services here (with an additional charge).

Afternoon/ Night:

– Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

– Transfer to Can Tho by our driver, which is located in the Mekong Delta.

Afternoon/ Night:

– About 13:30 – 14:00pm: Hop on a boat and experience the Mekong waterways’ diversity firsthand as you explore fish farms and exotic fruit farms.

– Touring the orchards, paddy fields, and swamplands of the Mekong Delta will add an unforgettable experience to your Vietnam vacation.

– Free at leisure in Can Tho.

Morning:

– Have breakfast at the hotel.

– 8:00am: Take a motorboat to visit Cai Rang, where all trading activities occur on the Mekong River in this fascinating floating market.

-Beyond enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, try Hu Tieu – a traditional rice noodle of Mekong delta or a small piece of durian, the most addictive fruit to the locals.

– Visit the rice husking mill and walk around the village. See the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals.

Afternoon/ Night:

– 13:30pm: Disembark at Ninh Kieu.

– Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City after lunch in Can Tho.
